A group of 50-60 singers in grades 3, 4, & 5. Rehearses Mondays 4:45 - 6:00 PM at MSU Directed by Mrs. Ashlie Drummelsmith Western Plains Children’s Choir A group of 40-50 singers in grades 5, 6, & 7. Rehearses Sundays 5:45 - 7:15 PM at MSU Directed by Mrs. Sue Kranz Western Plains Youth Ensemble A group of 40-50 singers grades 8-12. SATB Rehearses Sundays 4:00 - 5:45 PM at MSU Directed by Dr. Emerson Eads MUSIC MAKERS Music Makers is an un-auditioned music class open to 20 2nd and 3rd graders. Upcoming EventsBecause the Western Plains Children’s Choirs wanted and deserved a final time to sing together and in appreciation and honor of our graduating seniors, the WPCC and Western Plains Opera Company offer the following song that “resounds so strong.” It brings “a message of mercy and Hope for Broken Wings.”
WPYE - Virtual Performance All three choirs have several concert opportunities throughout the year. Depending on your ensemble, performances may include Hostfest, Winter and Spring concerts, retirement homes, and tours to area schools. ScholarshipsIf cost is a concern, please apply to our scholarship fund for a half scholarship.

How to Join - Audition!Who: Anyone in grades 3-12 who loves to sing.
Dates: September 4th and 5th of 2019 Sign-Up: You can sign up on for a time on our Audition Log Where: Room 120 (basement) of Old Main at Minot State University Be prepared to sing: • “America” (My Country Tis’ of Thee) - with small group and individually • “Are You Sleeping” - in unison and in a round • Echo-sing short melodic patterns If you would like to arrange a different time to audition, please contact the director of the choir. |
